If you don’t want to run into these creepy crawlies, DON’T go to these places. The goliath bird eating spiders make their homes in burrows, underground. They can be found in the U.S.A, Central America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and Australia, wow, they're all over the place! That's enough about the big places, let's get a little more specific. Even in all the places they live in they have certain biomes that they like to live in, such as: Rainforests, Deserts, Grasslands, and even mountains! Even more specific, they live in the warm swampy areas of the rainforests. These rainforests only take up about six to seven percent of the world, yet the have more than half of all the plants and animals that inhabit planet Earth. Enough about places, let’s talk about their homes. They make a living inside dens and burrows, underneath the Earth’s surface. They can also make a home under crevices in rocks. Inside their burrows, they lay down a mat of silk, which they spin with their spinnerets, instead of a web. Whenever prey comes by, the mat moves, alerting the spiders senses, then the spider dashes out to catch the prey. Enough about catching food with their home, they also get homesick easily. They rarely ever travel even just a few feet from home, showing that they like to live under a rock, sometimes literally. In the end, These spiders live in a lot of different places, biomes, and they don’t like to leave from homes comfort.
